For deployment serversThe Builder runs on your workstation. The Agent is a small service you install on each server you want to deploy apps to — the Builder connects to it to ship, run, and health-check your apps. You only need it if you deploy to remote machines.
Release Notes
EveriApp v0.21.0
Describe it. Ship it. Share it — all in your environment. EveriApp is RAD&D for the AI era — rapid application development and deployment, in one place. v0.21.0 adds Group Sharing (private apps for exactly the people you choose), a Functions panel for server functions, and moves the Builder and Agent to the Business Source License 1.1. By EveriAI LLC.
Windows only for now. Linux servers can run deployed apps via the EveriApp Agent.
Downloads
| Download | What it is | Who needs it |
|---|---|---|
| EveriApp-Setup-win-x64-0.21.0.exe | The EveriApp Builder — the main desktop application | Everyone |
| EveriApp-Agent-Setup-win-x64-0.1.2.exe | The EveriApp Agent — a small service for deploying apps to a server. Rebuilt so the installer presents the new license; the agent itself is unchanged | Only if you deploy apps to remote machines |

License change: Business Source License 1.1
Starting with this release, the EveriApp Builder and Agent are source-available under the Business Source License 1.1. You can read the code, modify it, and run it in your own environment — including in production — under the terms in the LICENSE file. Each version converts to the Apache License 2.0 four years after its release.
The EveriApp SDK and app template — the pieces that end up inside the apps you build — stay under Apache 2.0, so the apps you build are yours.
Versions up to and including v0.20.0 were released under Apache 2.0 and remain available under that license. The installers now show the license during setup.
What's new
🤝 Group Sharing — private apps for the people you choose
Publishing to the marketplace no longer means publishing to the world.
- Groups on the marketplace: create one, invite members by email or by link (only the owner can invite), and remove them any time. Members see and install the apps shared with the group from their own Builder.
- Who can see it in the publish dialog: Public, or Private with the groups you pick. The choice is remembered per app and shown on every publish; switching an app between Public and Private asks for confirmation.
- Private apps are invisible to everyone else — search, detail pages, feeds, and downloads all answer "not found" — and every download of a private app is recorded against the account that pulled it.
- Change an app's audience later from the marketplace's developer dashboard.
- Requires your marketplace API key under Platform → Settings → EveriApp Marketplace. The same key now lets the Marketplace page in the Builder show apps shared privately with your groups.
{} Functions panel
Server functions (server/functions/*.py) were only reachable as raw files in
the Code tab. The new Functions tab beside Chat / Code / Preview shows them
as functions:
- Every function with its one-line docstring summary, timeout, which UI files call it (or "not called from UI"), and whether the published version has it.
- Test run against the draft with JSON args — result,
ctx.logoutput, and duration inline; a failing function shows its error and what it printed. - Recent calls: a persisted log of every invocation, from the running app or from the panel, with outcome, duration, args, result, and logs.
- New function scaffolds the file with the
handler(args, ctx)contract; Open in editor jumps to the Code tab. - The Code tab now flags platform-owned files (
server/sdk.py,src/sdk/*) that are restored from the template on preview start.
Marketplace site
- Groups pages, invitation links, and a per-app visibility control on the developer dashboard.
- New Licensing page.
Upgrading
Run the installer over an existing install. The service is stopped
automatically, your settings (.env), apps, and data under
C:\ProgramData\EveriApp are preserved, and the service is reinstalled and
restarted at the end. The new app_function_calls table is created on first
start; no manual migration.
To use Group Sharing, set your marketplace API key under Platform → Settings → EveriApp Marketplace (get one from the marketplace's Developer page), then join or create a group on the marketplace.
System requirements
- Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
- ~2.5 GB free disk space (the bundled Python runtime + libraries add to the download size)
- 4 GB RAM minimum, 8 GB recommended
- An API key from an LLM provider (e.g. Anthropic or OpenAI) to use the builder
Verify your download (optional)
In PowerShell, in the folder where you downloaded the file:
(Get-FileHash .\EveriApp-Setup-win-x64-0.21.0.exe -Algorithm SHA256).Hash
It should match the value in EveriApp-Setup-win-x64-0.21.0.exe.sha256:
94968fefd3e28cd8bf0552002e68bec5967656d4355213e95aecad281e57878c EveriApp-Setup-win-x64-0.21.0.exe

Known limitations
- Windows only for now — macOS and Linux desktop builds are planned.
- Not yet code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen shows an "unrecognized publisher" prompt on first run. Verify with the SHA-256 checksum above.
- Group sharing is per app, not per version: an app is either public or private; every version follows.
- Server functions run Python synchronously, one request at a time per call, and return JSON up to 5 MiB — aggregate large results before returning them.
